On 9 February 2018, Land Rover Durban proudly sponsored the LIV Golf Day, an event which aimed to create awareness and support for LIV.
The LIV model is a long-term cluster foster care home, where children are given a sense of belonging in a supportive community which is modelled on the African village lifestyle. The LIV Golf Day was a resounding success, with R150 000 raised on the day. All funds raised during the LIV Golf Day went towards the LIV village.
The LIV Golf Day took place at the Durban Country Club with a total of 96 golfers, along with an additional 16 people, attending the prize giving and auction. The players consisted of business people and sport enthusiasts.
To add to the festivities of the day, Land Rover Durban hosted a customer and staff four-ball in which a member of the Land Rover team, Brian Govender, won the nearest pin for the second hole.
Land Rover Durban would like to thank Lucinda Delaney and Gavin Horn for allowing us to be a part of the LIV Golf day. We hope this marks the beginning of an incredible long-term relationship.
Results from the Golf course are as follows:
1st place was the Dave Deeble Team
2nd place was one of the Land Rover Teams (Bijai Singh, Shashi Marajh, Nolan Naicker and Avi Ramlakan)
3rd place was an LIV Team
