Our annual Horse and Wine Festival was held on Saturday 22nd July, and luckily the weather was perfect ensuring our day got off to a beautifully sun-drenched start. The festival provided an activity filled play area for little ones, while the grown-ups indulged in our wine tasting, with the Big green egg stand on full display, the crowd watched as they whipped up the most delectable meals as well as offering up a lucky draw to win your very own Big Green Egg. The festivals programme was jam packed with excitement from the unveiling of the All New Discovery, a western themed fancy-dress competition, the singing cowboy and SAPS dog show to some rather competitive laser tagging, a KTM display, polocrosse as well as line and barn dancing. With the added benefit of our moseying through the craft market, selection of scrumptious food vendors along with the various wine and craft beers available, and just for good measure we threw in the Land Rover Terrapod experience.
All of this was hosted by the amazing Danny Guselli, who kept us entertained in true country style.
The Land Rover Display held the full Range as well as the Jaguar F-TYPE and F-PACE - we had flurry of test drives, which took up a large portion of the day as the most popular option was the All new Discovery. We’d like to offer our congratulations to our winners – our western themed competition was won by Wendy Raffinetti and her daughter, who took the prize of a weekend away at the beautiful Zimbali Resort and a Range Rover Sport to use for the Weekend. While our Big Green Egg lucky draw winner was Warren Richards, who took home a full Big Green egg package worth R25000.
